Carcassi

Thursday, March 22nd, 2007

Opus 60 in A-Dur (1.1 mb / mp3)

Nachtrag: Die Einleitung stammt aus meiner in Diletantismus getränkten Feder. Nicht dass Herr Matteo C., post mortem, Ansprüche auf Richtigstellung geltend machen will. ;-)

Bach Rip Off!

Tuesday, December 5th, 2006

What what what! I´m getting use of the time by recording some new old stuff. There are probably no Paul Gilbert Fans among you, but this doesn´t matter anyway. He is the man who arranged and recorded this tune for the heavy metal album Technical Difficulties (Racer X). I learned this piece some how 2 years ago and it took me long term practising, analysing of technique and finding my own fingering. By the way I performed this tune on the Epiphone illustrated on the picture below. My fingers still burning due to the thickness of the (.052) attached strings. AAARRRGH!

Bach Rip Off (MP3 - 1.32 mb)

Opus 1 in C minor

Tuesday, September 27th, 2005

Finally I got my midi control Synthesizer working again and it works absolute great.
I have a bunch of nice realtime controllers to add more expression to the synth sounds.
I was messing around with some string sounds and this little classical sounding theme is the result.
It is in c minor with some keychanges in it.

Opus 1, C minor

Almost sounds like a move theme ;-)

Enjoy!

Beware of high frequencies, keep volumes down to avoid damage to your hearing :-)

Mediterranean Evening

Tuesday, July 19th, 2005

A pretty powerabsorbing day lies behind me. I was learning for my soon occouring test in Multimedia Law 1 and 2. My empty accumulators need to be refreshed before I can go on with it, so it´s likely a great opportunity to cook a tasty dinner. Fortunately my co-inhabitant and Vice-Cuisine Master was present to help me out at a fairly big amount.

Following picture shows the result of our efforts:

Tasty!!!

This relaxed dinner for two would be incomplete without the right kind of musical underpainting. For this reason I recorded this beatiful Spanish Prelude in E Major:

Lágrima (Prelude) (mp3, 128kbit, 1 mb)

Pprelude is composed by Francisco Tarrega

Concentrate on this picture above while listening to Lagrima. You will almost taste the mediterranean culinarities, won´t you :-)

Modoc

Album Cover of High Tension Wires
Very nice acoustic piece of music. You can find the original on the “High Tension Wires” Album by Steve Morse.
His Album received a grammy nomination for the best Intrumental Rock Performance in 1989. I like this acoustic song a lot. !!!

Modoc (mp3 128kbit, 1.9mb)

If you want to transcribe it by ear let me tell you that the guitar is tuned to an open E chord.
(e for the first string, b, g#, e, b, e)
