Bitte nicht an der grottigen Qualität stören, ich hab die Spuren frei Schnauze eingespielt, um mich nicht in Details zu verlieren. Das Schallplattenknistern fügte ich ganz bewusst hinzu.
Dadurch klingt´s wie ne fossile Schallplattenaufnahme, …. fast.

Nachtrag: Ein phattes Dankescheen möchte an meinen freigiebigen Kollegen Ansgar aussprechen, der mir, einem Fremdling aus´m mittleren Osten Deutschlands, seinen echt formidablen, taufrisch besaiteten Bass zur Verfügung stellte.

Today I´ve done a very good outside picking lesson for your pricking hand. “Good” in senses of musicality.
It is a classical sounding chord progression.
The hot spots playing this thing at higher paces (180 BPM, 8th notes) to get the chord changes right without lossing a note.
Don´t try to fret the notes with all fingers at the same time (especially bar 9 and 10) try to make a senseful order to make the fretting process beeing as easy as possible if you got this motion done perfectly in a slow tempo, speed up step by step till changing chords happens flawlessly.
Start playing it with a downstroke and alternate picking throughout. Outside picking is much more natural to me and for this reason I can reach higher speeds and more control compared to inside picking.

Guess what chord this is? Well, there is a g (open g string) , there is a bb and a d makes a Gminor chord.

This chord is not as easy to identify like the prior one. Tell me what you think

Remember my words about fretting notes not simultanously. For this dominant D7 chord try to fret the c on first position 2nd string first and then the a note an 3rd string. Try to concentrate on changing those chords without loosing the time.

I played this progression with significant muting with my palm, try to switch between the two feels of palm muted and freely ringing strings to add dynamics.

Today I will show some very interesting arpeggio lick out of the Racer X intrumental song: “Scarified”

I start with the chord progression the arpeggio is based on, it´s in the key of F# minor starting with an D major chord.
It goes like this (audio file)

diminished Chord> - at least 3 notes with flat-thirds as intervall between every note. The best thing about diminished Chords is the mathematical structure behind it. For instance, take the diminished f chord and slide the fingering 4 frets (flat third) towards the PUs (or down the neck if you are in a higher position)) and you´ll have exactly the same chord with another voicing.

Es ist soweit, das historische erste Daily Licks.

Daily Lick 1

Ich hab mir das Teil vollständig ausgedacht, trotzdem haben mich Freunde darauf hingewiesen, dass eine Ähnlichkeit zu Smoke On The Water von Deep Purple nicht von der Hand zu weisen ist.

Das Riff gehört wohl zum Standard-Repourtoi eines jeden aufstrebenden Gitarristen. Es gibt unzählige Varianten das Riff zu spielen, ich entschied mich für die Variante mit Pick (Plektrum) . Das wichtigste beim Üben des Riffs ist einen geeigneten Fingersatz zu finden.

Um der ganzen Sache noch die nötige Würze zu geben, fügt man ein hörbares Vibrato den stehenden Noten hinzu.

Diese Pull-Off Hammer-On Kombination ist schon ein klein wenig kniffliger. Der Trick dabei ist, dass nicht jede Note mit dem Plektrum angeschlagen wird. Wer´s genau wissen möchte, schreibt mir einfach nen Kommentar

Und beim letzen Teil des Daily Lick 1 liegt die Schwierigkeit vor allem bei der Bending Technik. Wer auch hier genaueres Wissen möchte, schreibt einfach ´nen Kommentar.
